The Team

Ryan Gayman owner of The MoveMeant - Moline
01

Ryan Gayman

Owner

Ryan grew up participating in many different major sports – everything from soccer to hockey. In high school, he was asked to try out for the competitive cheerleading team and even learned how to breakdance. He went on to compete in the sport of competitive cheerleading for 10 years, as well as work for a production company in Chicago as a breakdancer. He eventually started his fitness career by selling memberships and personal training packages at a globo gym. In 2011, he landed an internship at a functional fitness gym and has been coaching ever since. His passion lies in helping people learn how to move correctly so that they can be active as long as possible. The MoveMeant is a reflection of that passion. He is currently a Certified USAW Level 1 Coach as well as a certified Active Life Assessment Coach.

02

Courtney Porter

Coach

Courtney has a long history of sports & fitness – from playing collegiate soccer, to coaching soccer and teaching swim lessons to infants through adults from a recreational level to passing fitness exams for the military. She got into cross training after college looking for a little more structure, accountability, and competition aspect that she was missing from soccer. Although she never imagined she would eventually begin coaching, it combined the things she always loved about fitness, teaching, and helping people create good habits that they enjoy to create a sustainable lifestyle that’s healthy and fun! Her passion for movement, correcting movement patterns, scaling & adapting exercises to each individual’s abilities, and focusing on strength that transfers directly to life and daily activities makes her a great coach. Courtney is trained and certified in pre- and postpartum women, and her heart and soul is coaching women who are either brand new to fitness or wanting to get back to fitness & staying active after pregnancy. Outside of the gym, Courtney is a wife, a mom, a dog mom to a zoo of animals, nature lover, recycling and earth sustainability freak, & avid hater of IPAs.

Derek Conduff

Coach

Derek has always had a passion for fitness and sports ranging from wrestling and weightlifting to long distance running. He found happiness in competing in different styles of fitness, which is why he fell in love with the sport of cross training so fast after being introduced to it by a friend in 2017. Derek enjoys nothing more than to see others push themselves out of their comfort zone, and as a coach, is always excited to be part of their active lifestyle journey. Derek received his CrossFit L1 certification in April of 2018 and has been coaching ever since. Outside of the gym, Derek is a graduate of Western Illinois University and is enrolled in the physical therapy program at Bradley University.

Emily Bollman

Coach

Since becoming a member of The MoveMeant at the end of 2020, I have learned so much about myself and about fitness. In the spring of 21 I was able to finish out my college days by interning with Coach Ryan and learn the ins and outs of the gym. There is so much hard work and love that goes into making this an amazing gym and the best hour of my day. I have always had a passion for sports and fitness ever since I started playing soccer when I was little. I have played soccer at the Division 1 level as well as playing on the Second Team for Racing Louisville. I studied Exercise Science in school and I absolutely love sharing my passion for sports and athletics with anyone who listens. I even coach soccer at Quad Cities Rush and Alleman High School, where I get to share my passion for soccer with youth players. My dream is to train athletes and help them reach their full potential on and off the field/court. I have worked with young athletes from ages 10-18 in the gym to help them improve their athletic abilities. Now, becoming a coach, I get to learn and grow even more with the members and other coaches. I’m excited to continue learning new ways to coach and helping others on their fitness journey and reaching their goals, no matter how big or how small they may seem.

Erika Dvorak

Coach

Erika played sports from a young age, but she really began her fitness journey in college where she started participating in and coaching group fitness classes. This kickstarted her passion for helping others on their journey to health. After earning her Active Life certification in the summer of 2019, she began doing personal training to help her clients move better, get out of pain, and commit to a healthy lifestyle. Shortly after, she began coaching classes. In the summer of 2021, Erika earned her NASM Nutrition Coach Certificate, and in the winter of 2022, Erika earned her WAG Nutrition Coaching Certificate. Being a part of the health and fitness community as a coach has been a dream of Erika’s for several years and she is excited to pursue this dream through continued learning, coaching, and competing. Outside of the gym, Erika is a full-time teacher who loves spending time with her friends & family, and treating herself to ice cream, coffee, and beer.

Nick Trout

Coach

Being the oldest child in a family that prioritized service and discipline Nick discovered a passion for coaching and teaching shortly after graduating high school. Although he played multiple sports throughout his youth, football took priority in high school. Nick moved from California to Minnesota to play football and earn a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. After graduating Nick moved to the Quad Cities to coach football and earn a Masters degree at St. Ambrose University. Nick has since moved from coaching football to fitness as his passion for working with people has grown. Nick loves to meet people where they are in their fitness journey and help establish change in their lives that are practical and simple to implement and sustain. Nick currently has a personal training certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). When not coaching Nick enjoys learning something new through a good book or podcast, trying out to a new restaurant (or bar). However, he loves spending time with his wife and children as well as giving back to local youth.

Will Sindelar

Coach

Will is no stranger to fitness and athletics, and played football and ran track from a young age. He also developed a love for running and other events such as triathlons, obstacle course racing, cycling, ultramarathons, and most recently, adventure racing. Being able to move and challenge himself physically and mentally is what drives Will’s fitness journey. Will first started coaching group classes in 2012 at a small gym in Orion, IL. He continued to coach elsewhere until finally landing at The MoveMeant. He loves CrossFit because of the dynamic, ever-changing community fitness element of the sport. He loves encouraging members to push themselves to overcome their mental barriers to help them realize their true potential. Outside of the gym, Will is an environmental technician. He loves spending time with his wife and daughter, woodworking, welding, and convincing his friends to do crazy events with him.
